Welcome to books by Donna Lodge.
Hello there! I'm Donna Lodge, and I wear two of the most treasured titles in the world: mum and grandma. You might wonder what led me to become a children's author. Well, the answer lies in the joy and wonder I've experienced through the years while sharing stories with the little ones in my life.
As a mother, I've always been captivated by the enchantment of storytelling. There's something magical about the way a well-crafted story can transport a child to another world, spark their imagination, and leave a lasting impression on their young hearts. Bedtime stories, rainy-day reads, and countless whispered tales have been the foundation of my bond with my own children.
Introducing:
Caleb The Campervan
The Caleb the camper van series aims to capture the imagination of readers aged 3- 6 years and prompts interaction through sharing, singing and dance moves. The books introduce young children to new countries, new cultures and new languages, as the young VW campervan engages in adventures throughout his journey, learning life lessons along the way.

Caleb and the Ferry is the first book in the Caleb and the Campervan series. Illustrated by Winendra Adi, Children will discover what Caleb and his new friends get up to when left alone on the car deck of a ferry during a family vacation to Europe.
Readers get introduced to the first of many musical hooks to the series - “Turn your wheels to right, yeeha, turn your wheels to the left. Oh yeah!”

Caleb and the Lake is the second book in the Caleb and the Campervan series. In this book, Caleb makes friends on a French campsite and is smitten with the chic Clarissa the Campervan, although nervous of Mitch the Motorhome with his swagger and bravado.
Readers once again find the vehicle shuffle comes in useful when Caleb and Clarissa help to rescue Mitch from the lake.
“Turn your wheels to the right. Yeeha! Turn your wheels to the left. Oh yeah!”

When Farmer Grumpy’s tractor overturns causing a traffic jam, the vehicles manage to hinder the best efforts of the fire service, by performing the vehicle shuffle. This allows several chickens to escape, and Caleb manages to carry a chicken all the way to Germany without Momma and Pompsy being aware.
As usual, there is an opportunity to learn a few words of French and German, sample different cultures, and delve into the hidden vehicle world.
